About Us

Small Folk’ is an organisation dedicated to the Integration, via ‘Adoption’, of individuals from the Families, Groups and Species of the Small Folk Communities, into the homes and lives of Big People.

Due to the encroachment and development of Big Peoples’ habitats into the natural homelands of the Small Folk, i.e. hamlets, villages, woods, estuaries, rivers and so on, the Small Folk have been finding it increasingly difficult to continue their old ways of life. It became clear, in the year 2002, that their only hope was ‘Integration’ with the Big People. A number of the Small Folk came together in order that this transition was done with the Small Folk’s well-being and safety as the highest priority. This group became the Management Team. Their aim to present Small Folk, whether from a Family, Group or Species, for ‘Adoption’ has been successful from the outset and although, as might be expected, some Small Folk are apprehensive about contact with Big People, even little Big People, there has been a steady stream of ‘Adoptees’ coming forward.
